Philip graduated with distinction in Biology from the Free University of Berlin and earned his DPhil in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, where he worked on the structure and dynamics of an oncogenic adhesion receptor using NMR spectroscopy.
He qualified as a patent attorney, with experience in patent prosecution at KUHNEN & WACKER and contentious pharmaceutical matters at df-mp. Philip also develops computational tools for opposition and appeal proceedings.
